How to: Create a FeatureSo you want to create a feature? Keep reading!
Making a feature isn't as easy as you might think it is. You don't just drag and drop pieces into a journal, it is kind of like creating art!

There are some questions that get asked a lot:
Rainbow Dot Bullet - F2U! Why is my feature getting so little views?
Rainbow Dot Bullet - F2U! Am I doing something wrong?
Rainbow Dot Bullet - F2U! Why aren't people commenting on it?
And a bunch more just like these!
The answer to these is not simple. Thing is, your feature might not be getting much attention because maybe, you're not posting them regularly, or maybe they look like a hot mess, or maybe you're featuring the "wrong pieces."
In this article, I will tell you all about how I work when I create a feature, what I think is important in a feature and some handy tips and tricks for writing a feature.

Why I love macro photographyIn case you haven’t noticed it yet, I may have an interest in macrophotography :paranoid:
First of all, here is a definition, by MarcosRodriguez of macro photography: "A Macro photograph shows a subject that is life size compared to the size of the negative of a SLR or sensor in a Full Frame DSLR, that's a 1:1 reproduction ratio aspect. […] Often a ratio aspect of 1:2 is also considered Macro, although that ratio shows subjects which life size is half of the size compared to the negative or sensor, I prefer to call those pictures Close-up photographies." Collective Feature #19! It's still  not quite spring out, but it's getting there. The smaller trees around campus are starting to bud and flowers will be here within the next week or so. It's suppose to warm up past 70 degrees by Friday, so fingers crossed for good weather. 
 I have a month left of this semester. Ugh, I just wanna go back home. So close. 
 I also left a few groups that were un-active because my images kept expiring that I submitted. So, if you know of any photography groups that are looking for members, let me know! I'm always looking for more editions into my features! 
 The same "rules" apply as they did last time. Throughout every photography category in my favorites, I will choose 10 entries (usually the first 10 that show up, or I begin where I left off) that'll be featured. With every category, I keep a record of who is featured, that way no name gets repeated twice in one category. Only one entry per category.

Collective Feature #16! Mid-terms are almost done, thank goodness. Got one this Wednesday and one on Friday and then I'll be blasting off back home! 
 Not much else to report. Something is going on with Tyler and I found out in a not so good way. Back home, my friend Anthony was going off the chain (accusing my friend who he is staying with atm, literally sleeping on a couch, of kicking him out and that she wants nothing to do with him and everyone leaves him eventually, etc.) Not a good situation. And as much I tried explaining to him that she was not literally kicking him out, he wasn't convinced. That was last Wednesday. I messaged Tyler (haven't heard from him in over a week at that point which is really odd considering he always snapchats or messages me or something. We typically talk on the phone every weekend. seniormentors Critique Night is back for this week - and with very short notice! This evening at 3pm PST/6pm EST/11pm GMT I'll be hosting the event in :#seniors: and all media are welcome. And in other chat network news, I'm working with CRPhotography to revamp the old :#photographers: chat so pop in there any time to watch me break privclasses and confuse myself I guess. I'll be posting a "formal" relaunch journal about it on Saturday and there will be an informal hangout-type event in there all day. I'm also looking to bring on some new moderators for the room, so if you're interested shoot a note to CRPhotography with "Chat Mod" or something like that in the subject line.

Collective Feature #14! This past week was mainly quiet, just classes and homework, the usual. The club hike that was planned for this Saturday was cancelled due to lack of participation, so I'll probably head up to Teatown anyway, provided the weather is stable. 
 This college moves so slow. I sent in my requested hours for work on Friday and still have yet to have them confirmed. I had hours set up on Saturday and Sunday, so obviously I wasn't able to work those. I mean, no one's here over the weekends anyway, but still. Pain in the ass.

So, Candi, where have you been? Confused  Never fear all is well and good! I've just been off practicing becoming a professional towel folder.  You can never have too many skills because you never know when pole swinging and sucking on necks just won't work out for you anymore. :shrug: =P  I'm back...I think... we'll see how it goes, but hopefully I will be around more often again. :D
Well, in about two weeks I turn the big four-O.  I'm not quite sure what to think about this.  Part of me is okay, but part of me is freaking out that I'm becoming old.  I mean 40 isn't really old, but as a kid 40 was pretty dang ancient.
